NDEGE is a Halcyon 23 sailing yacht which we bought in poor condition, needing a complete refit. The refit included a full epoxy treatment for the hull, new halliards, new guard rails, new stainless pulpit and a reconditioned Yanmar YSM8 diesel auxiliary engine. The work cost a total of £4000.
Ndege is Swahali for Flying Bird which is an apt name as the sail motif for Halcyon Yachts is a green flying bird.
Ndege has now been sold. The new owner intends to do some further work on the interior.
